Yellow Fever is a preventable viral disease spread by mosquitos in parts of the tropical and sub-tropical regions of Africa and South and Central America and in Trinidad (Caribbean) which you can be vaccinated at our Yellow Fever Cenre in Birmingham or Tamworth.
The Yellow Fever virus can cause an illness that results in jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) and bleeding with severe damage to the major organs such as the liver, kidneys and heart. Mortality in those infected is high who go on to develop severe disease.
Travellers should be vaccinated a minimum of 10 days prior to entering an area where vaccination is recommended. Upon vaccination you will receive an international yellow fever certificate also known as a yellow book.
We are a well-established Yellow Fever centre in Birmingham and our clinicians have wide-ranging experience having traveled extensively.
